TEDxDetroit 2010
A few weeks ago I attended TEDxDetroit 2010 – a spinoff from TED Talks national event. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design. There were some very interesting speakers in all three industries, but of course, I was there for the tech part. I was pretty excited to see a great portion of this event dedicated to innovation. They even had “the labs” going on in common areas during breaks.
As I arrived, I was excitedly greeted at the registration table with a speaker’s badge. When I tried to explain that I was not one of the scheduled speakers nor did I have a speech prepared, people at the table still wanted me to wait around until they verified that, indeed, I would not have to speak. Oh well, maybe I will actually be asked for real next year…
Innovation and innovative people are always of great interest, so if anyone is aware of similar future events, please let me know. Meanwhile, enjoy my TEDxDetroit 2010 video…
